Joey Cape – The Ramones are Dead
(Bridge, 2008)

(Note: For easier play, use capo in 1st fret!)

      Bb Gm
I can listen to the records from my younger years
          Eb F Eb7 F
Pacify my bitter ears and revive the dead dinosaurs
        Bb Gm
Me and Jamo rode two buses out to Rockpile
               Eb F Bb Bb7
Sure to find a rarity and something to believe

Eb Gm Eb
But I can't listen to them now without mourning that small town
         F Bb Bb7
and the mom and pops I loved
Eb Cm
   Once a missionary man
  Eb F
I age into obscurity with them
                 Bb
The Ramones are dead

   (F) Bb Gm
You could judge a band by the cover flipping through the bins
                  Eb
Assured enough to take a spin
    F Eb7 F
The art and lyrics big enough to see and read
Bb
Pull the record from its sleeve
Gm
Spear the cut hole, arm and speed
Eb F Bb Bb7
Plunge the needle, shaking like a drug fiend

Eb Gm
   Now relevant again somehow
                  Cm
Reanimated sacred cow
        F Bb Bb7
But it all seems different now
Eb Cm
It's far too easy to get anything in demand
     Ab F
I'll say it once again

                 Bb

lol, jeff hyman is totally wrong... well, not totally, but wrong. transpose these chords once down and play with capo 1st, as mentioned in the tab, and its just like joey plays it. source: saw him playing it live... also, it just sounds 100 % right.
