The original song is in D standard, but he plays it live in standard tuning for years.
It's much easier not to tune down.

I recommend to play the F chorus of the chorus this way:

e|-X-|
B|-1-|
G|-2-|
D|-3-|
A|-X-|
E|-X-|

So you can make a nice transition to the G (like he does, live)

[Intro]
Asus2 Asus2 Asus2 Asus2 x2

[Verse]
    Asus2 C G D/F#
Mama why does he treat me so cold, so cold, so cold
Asus2 C G D/F#
Why do I feel so old, so old, so old
Asus2 C G D/F#
how long has he treated me unkind, unkind, unkind
    Asus2 C G D/F#
or have I always been so blind, so blind, so blind

[Chorus]
         Am F G Am G
I'm the widow, I'm the widow, I'm the widow of a living man
Am G Am G D/F# G Asus2 Asus2 Asus2 Asus2

Asus2 C G D/F#
Why can't the times stay the same, stay the same, stay the same
Asus2 C G D
now I am begging him to change, please change, please change
Asus2 C G D/F#
what about all of the plans we've made, the plans we've made, Lord I’ve prayed
Asus2 C G D/F#

I'm gonna need someplace to go, someplace to go, someplace to go
Asus2 C G D/F#
he's no longer some kind woman's son, kind woman's son, kind woman's son
Asus2 C G D/F#

Just a small thing, but the Am2 is called an Asus2; the fingering is right, though. Also, the Am in the verse should be that Asus2 instead. It's right in the chorus though, I think.

Dude this is horrible. Your tuning makes no sense.

Hi There Nice tab for a great song. But I think the correct D is a D with an F# in the bass, 2x0323. Iskariot
