Pretty much a natural harmonic is one created off the instrument mostly used on the 5th 7th and 12th fret (on guitar purposes) just lightly touch the fret between say the 5th and 6th fret for a natural sounding harmonic and an artificial harmonic is one created basically by technique like a pinch harmonic
