He averages between 3-5 feet in length and weighs between 90-130 pounds. His skin is a beautiful combination of pale greys, but his dorsal fin, flippers, and flukes are black. His belly is a creamy white, and he appears to be wearing a black mask around his eyes. Hector's Dolphin is endangered due to becoming entangled in gill-nets and drowning. There are approximately 7,000 Hector's Dolphins remaining of a population of almost 30,000 in the 1970's.
