The texts flow out of the NIV translations of the appointed Epistle and Gospel Lessons for the Three-Year Lectionary as given in the various Lutheran Worship Books. A suggested tune is given with each text with a specific hymn number reference to a hymnal. The text meter is also given should a tune other than the one suggested be desired. A quick check with the hymn tune meter index in any hymnbook will list other music possibilities.
